DESIGNED AND OPERATED IN HARMONY WITH THE MARINE ECOSYSTEM

• SeaStar's ship-based seawater desalination operations employ special pipelines which transport seawater to the ship for processing, and transport brine streams and drinking water away from the ship
• These pipelines are designed to be submerged below the surface of the sea allowing unrestricted transit by small watercraft above the pipeline. Though submerged, the pipeines float above the seafloor to avoid damage to sensitive reefs and sea floor habitat
• The pipeline transporting the desalination brine stream away from the ship includes special features which reconstitute the brine stream to near-seawater composition before returning it to the sea
